As a triathlete and professional cyclist in Kenya riding for Duma Ladies Cycling Team, Helen Kinuthia is aiming to represent Kenya in Rio 2016. She has worked in cycling development for the past 3 years, founding Nairobi's largest cycling club, North Nairobi Cycle Club, and now organizes 70% of events on the Kenya cycling calendar. Included in her events, Helen coordinates the largest mountain bike race in Kenya, the Laikipia XC.
Helen’s goals are to raise the profile of cycling in Kenya on both a local and international scale, as well as to encourage participation in road cycling & mountain biking. She also aims to develop young Kenyan talent from a grassroots level and mentor them to international standards.
