Based out of San Francisco, California, Dorette Franks is a Dietician and Trifiniti Endurance Coach, as well as a USAT and USATF coach, competitive age group endurance athlete, musician, and whole-food plant-based advocate. Dorette has always held a passion for creating health and wellness within herself and inspiring it in others. She has raced in Ironman, the Boston Marathon, and even Ultraman Canada.
As a Dietician, Dorette specializes in sports nutrition for endurance performance with an emphasis in whole food, plant-based nutrition.
Dorette can be found paddling on her SUP in the frisky waters of the San Francisco Bay, playing piano, and moving about on the trails of Mount Tamalpias with her husband, Duane Franks.

I saved a man's life this last summer — he was found with no pulse — we fought with CPR and an AED to bring him back...and he is now alive. That is my greatest accomplishment. In the realm of sports, I took 1st in division at Ultraman Canada, a 3-day stage race consisting of a 10K swim and 90 mile bike on day 1, 170 mile bike on day 2, and a double marathon on day 3. In the realm of academics, I returned to college to complete a degree in dietetics to become a Registered Dietician Nutritionist. Who say's you can't reinvent yourself after age 40?
